Eric Clapton is an iconic English rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He was born on March 30, 1945, in Ripley, Surrey, England. Clapton is often referred to as one of the most influential guitarists of all time and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times: once as a solo artist, and separately as a member of the Yardbirds and Cream. His career has spanned over five decades, during which he has received numerous awards and accolades, including 18 Grammy Awards.
